McMorrison & Williams is the partnership of Caprice A. Morrison nee McFarlane and Stacy-Ann Williams, two strong, hardworking, ambitious and dedicated professionals who are passionate about the practice of law. Both called to the Jamaican Bar in 2012, the firm boasts a combined 16 years experience across diverse areas of legal practice. Our shared work ethic and high moral code have proven to be a solid foundation of this successful partnership.

Caprice garnered experience very early in her legal career working as a Paralegal/Legal Secretary at the National Housing Trust focusing primarily on land related matters. Once called to the Bar, she built on that foundation at the Law Firm of Winston H. McFarlane & Co expanding her land matters expertise to include the areas of probate, estates and subdivisions. She also garnered invaluable experience in Criminal Litigation through working with noted Criminal Law Attorney Mr. Peter Champagnie Q.C. Stacy-Ann obtained experience in Civil Litigation, conveyancing, land matters and subdivisions through working with the Law Offices of Nicholson Phillips as well as Naylor & Turnquest (now Naylor & Mullings). In respect of litigation both partners have practiced in several courts across the island of Jamaica.

McMorrison & Williams places a premium on continuous training and development of both its Partners and its Staff. The team has completed training with the National Land Agency in the Land Registration and Conveyancing Course and have participated in various Continuing Legal Education Seminars conducted by the General Legal Council and the Jamaica Bar Association. Both Partners are qualified Realtor Associates having successfully completed the Pre-Licensing Salesman Course with the Real Estate Training Institute of Jamaica and the Firm is associated with a Network of professional Realtors, Valuers and Commissioned Land Surveyors thereby allowing them to cater to the complete conveyancing needs of clients, whether they are based internationally or island-wide.

 

The Partnership was formalized in 2017 and currently has offices in Kingston, Mandeville and Montego Bay for the convenience of clients. Caprice and Stacy-Ann are members of the Jamaica Bar Association and the Cornwall Bar Association respectively.
